Piles of Papers / Files Do you have piles of paper sitting around your office with no home? Sticky notes all over the walls? Are you afraid to file things away because you might not be able to find them again? Is the task just too big and stays in the 'too hard' basket? How about tackling the job one step at a time. Set yourself a goal to manage one pile of paper each day or week until your desk is clear. But... don't hide those papers, find a home for them so you can find them again. If you don't have a system, that's the place to start. Take control of your office, reduce stress and frustration. Organising your desk Use a 'toastrack' style stand up file for those folders you use every day. It's easier to find what you need quickly. Diary in time to refresh yourself I know you have all heard this one before, but it was reinforced for me recently. Diary in time for yourself, don't just 'fit it in' when you have a spare five or ten minutes. Schedule that daily walk or swim, take the time for a relaxing cuppa during the day, refresh yourself! Get outside and enjoy the sunshine when its there - it could save you from burnout. You will be all the more productive for it. Clutter Saving unnecessary paper clutters your files, your office and your desk. Make good use of the wastebasket. Are you ready for a 'de-clutter'? Assist You can help with the process. |
